Chairman's Message

Dear Members,

The WCG is in its 92nd year of operations. From a small group of Catholic families who came together with the idea of starting a club where families from in and around Santa Cruz could come together in fellowship, the WCG has grown into a cosmopolitan club with over 4,000 members plus their families. It is now a true social and sporting Gymkhana. The WCG has some of the best sporting facilities, fine dining and bar facilities and great social events.

In recent years the following facilities have been upgraded: Badminton Court, Squash Court, Swimming Pool, Health Club, Card and Billiards Room. New sporting facilities have been introduced like Basketball, Pickle Ball. Round the year Professional Coaches and Trainers are available to train our youngsters in various disciplines under the guidance of some of our International Sporting Stars who handle various sports portfolios.

Various social events are well patronized at the WCG, making it the most sought after venue. Weekly Housie events are very popular with exciting prizes and the bumper Housie sessions are a huge success. WCG has earned quite a reputation in organizing Tournaments in various disciplines with Teams from outside Mumbai also participating and many National and International Players too.

New memberships are open in some categories and I encourage you to invite your friends to expedite their applications if interested. Further, the WCG has reciprocal arrangements with quite a few clubs outside Mumbai. You may contact the office for details.

Going forward, I see WCG being the most happening place in the suburbs, where families can come together, enjoy the facilities and spend quality time together.
